At the March 20, 2025 City Council meeting, Council accepted the resignation of Councilman Shane Collins. Council now has 30 days to fill that vacant seat. The City will be take applications in order to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term to end December 31, 2026.
Interested persons should fill out the application and return by email to starter@alexandriaky.org or to the City building, located at 8236 W. Main Street, by 4:00pm on Friday, April 11, 2025.
All applicants are invited to attend the April 17, 2025 meeting to speak, but is not required. Council will meet in Executive Session, afterward the appointee will be announced.
