At the September 7 Council meeting, council passed Resolution 2023-07 declaring September as “City Government Month”. This is a state wide initiative to help schools and local officials engage with one another. One way to do this is through The Municipals. Their website has a host of different material for different ages for school teachers to use.
The City of Alexandria has several council members who work full time during the day and it is difficult for them to get to the classrooms during the school day. The City will host an evening event on September 28, 2023 from 5:30-7:30pm at Main Street Bored Game Cafe. Come check out this cute shop, order some food, ask your local officials some questions and challenge them to a board game or two.
